Tribosonics wins the Jury Award at Novares’ Venture Day in Paris
Tribosonics is delighted to win the Jury Prize in a competitive pitch event at the inaugural Novares Venture Day in Paris on the 9th October.
Dr Phil Harper, Tribosonics’ Founder and CTO, presented our technology stack, which turns standard components into SMART components. Therefore, it has huge application potential to challenges and opportunities in the automotive sector and, through innovation and partnership, create new value streams for Novares and for its customers. In addition, Glenn Fletcher (CEO), Mark Wallace (COO), and Christina King (Head of Strategic Partnerships) also supported the event.
Novel Technology at Novares
Tribosonics’ leadership team travelled to Paris to discuss opportunities for long-term strategic partnership. We spoke with senior leaders within Novares and were very pleased to support the Venture Day. Since innovation is core to our businesses, there was a strong foundation for discussions between the two senior leadership teams. Therefore, in Tribosonics’ experience, such partnerships are win-win. In addition, our partner gains access to our unique sensing technology, and Tribosonics gains an opportunity to create scale and impact through our technology in a new field or application.
Consequently, Novares’ first Venture Day featured presentations from many scale-up businesses. Additionally, they showcased speeches from Novares leaders including CEO, Pierre Boulet; Head of M&A, Pierre-Oliver Beck; and Group Innovation Director, Cristophe Cazes.
Headquartered in France, Novares is a global plastic solutions provider that designs and manufactures complex components & systems serving the future of the automotive industry. Although this was first Venture Day, Novares already has a strong pedigree in exhibiting and promoting emerging technologies. Thus, Novares’ demo car and open innovation lab, the Nova Car 2, displays the latest innovations that can be incorporated into the car of the future. This was unveiled in June 2019 in Paris and Nova Car 2 is now touring the world, showcasing 25 innovations created in partnership with 10 technology firms.
